How to Lose Holiday Fat (the easy way)

Make one tiny promise to yourself.

The holidays were not kind to my waistline...

I gained about 10 pounds, and honestly, I was pretty disgusted with myself.

At first, I was tempted to go all-in on a drastic diet to “fix” it as quickly as possible... maybe even a 5-day fast.

But then I remembered something that always rings true—big changes rarely stick.

What does stick are the small, consistent actions we commit to every day.

So instead of overhauling my entire lifestyle, I decided to start with one tiny promise: I can't eat anything until 11:30am. That’s it.

Then, something crazy happened...

Not eating in the morning led to me feeling more energized.

Feeling more energized helped me make better choices throughout the day, like avoiding soda or sweets.

And then, over time, that one tiny promise grew into a few more:

  • Walking for 20 minutes after lunch.
  • Logging my meals (even when I overate).
  • Cutting out the late-night snacks.

Fast forward a few weeks, and I’m down 5 pounds.

It sounds like nothing, but keeping that tiny promise to myself rebuilt my confidence and trust in myself.

And that trust? It’s the foundation for every big change I want to make.

My Challenge to You:

This week, make one tiny promise to yourself.

Keep it so simple, you can’t fail — drink a glass of water in the mornings, write one line in a journal, or hit 10,000 steps.

Stick to it no matter what, and see what happens.

You might just surprise yourself.
